One simple rule.

Every change starts with
one valid move.

A clear place to begin

A board you can check.
A move you can explain.

No diagonal jump, no hidden draw.
Only a tile beside the empty cell can move.

Find the space.

The board has eight numbered tiles and one empty cell. That space determines which moves are legal.

Move its neighbor.

A tile directly above, below, left or right may slide into the space. Rows never wrap around.

Keep the exact state.

A future transaction binds the round and move number. An old move cannot silently act on a newer board.

Small setup. Clear outcome.

One wallet.
One current round.

Start from the same solvable arrangement. The initial practice is deliberately two moves from the goal — not a random challenge, competition or reward game.

Reset starts a new round for the caller. Moving in another wallet cannot change your board.

Starting arrangement

Target arrangement

The fixed starter is solved by moving tile 5, then tile 8. Nothing here submits a move.

One space.
One move.
Exact state.

No custody. No token.
No promise of a prize.

Before the first move

Nothing to bet.
Nothing to guess.

Is this a reward game or token project?

No. There are no wagers, entry payments, NFT, token, reward, random draw or custody. A future onchain action costs network gas only.

Does the local practice save my progress?

No. It lives only in this tab's memory, is not shared or onchain, and reload clears it. The operation page labels this boundary before you start.

Why must a move include a round and move number?

The contract rejects stale expectedRound or expectedMoves. A transaction reviewed for an older state cannot silently move a tile in a newer round or after another move.

Can I keep moving after solving?

No. A solved board becomes inactive. Start a new round to return to the fixed initial arrangement.

Start with the space.

Make the next
move clear.
